I believe that shooting film is a way of inhabiting time.
It's present in the format itself—something that comes from another era and connects me to the past. Every time I take a photo on film, I feel closer to a different way of seeing, one that's more conscious, more human.
I also believe in the value of waiting. Unlike digital photography, I don't get to see the images instantly. I have to wait. And in that waiting, something magical happens: the emotion of the unknown, the surprise of what was, the rediscovery of a moment already gone.
Every shot matters. I can’t just take hundreds of photos without thinking. Each frame has a cost, and that forces me to observe more carefully, to choose with intention, to compose slowly. It invites me to be present.
For me, film photography is a slow and beautiful way to contemplate life.
And that’s why I choose it.
